Good one! Jul 09, dearg amadan rated it it was amazing. I enjoyed Luke and Angels story so much - they are great for each other. Luke has come along way, even I'm so darn proud of him! I also liked that Clay still included the previous characters from the first book 'Abby'; I guess I love Brant and Abby so much that even just reading little snippets of them and their life now makes me happy.

Verna Clay may be my new favourite author! When I finished this a few days ago, I straight away jumped into Jenny's adventures in 'Ryder's Salvation' then went a I enjoyed Luke and Angels story so much - they are great for each other. Solid 4 stars, the first in the series Abby got 4. This story was centered around the oldest of the Samson children Luke from book one all grown up, he falls for a woman, a beautiful woman who desperately needs a man's protections Think 19th century Texas. He provides it but he must make a detour prior to fulfilling his part of the bargain to his parents ranch.

The scene of the annual trek to the graves of loved ones was written with so much heart and love that the tears flowed and I cried. It's an unbelievable scene with moments that I felt deep inside me. Which scene was your favorite? Other than the most memorable moments of the book, the scene where Abby has her heart to heart talk with Angel while sitting in the privacy of Angel's bedroom was a favorite.
